Topic: Users' request for the new build? (Read 371 times)

Hello all!
As you already know, we are currently working on the inportant feature involving UI prototype capture and generation.
Meanwhile, we will release 1-2 minor builds.
The first one will be released end of May, and will involve some improvements of the OCL module and state machine.
We would like to invite all of you to propose ideas, related to those features, to be eventualy implemented. Please post them in this thread.

I think it would be nice to have a easier way to detect all the non-captured methods. Some kind of the list maybe...
And ability to add a method to a class without stopping the model execution.

Currently I can only see an object's state interactively form the object space.
Can you add a possibility to make OCL queries based on the object's state?
Something like: if (obj.myState = "OPEN") ....

Thank you all very much for your feedback and encouraging words.
We will try to incorporate all these sugestions (some of them in the next build, in not more than 2 weeks). Without a strong user interaction, EAn does not make any sense. We have a lot of new ideas, but wish to "filter" them with our users' opinions before actually implementing.
Regarding the UI generation, this is a major build that we expect to see live end of summer.
And please keep in mind that EAN is STILL a prototype tool to support our Domain-Frontier methodology, limited by EA user interface, so its usability aspects are not so good. Especially OCL module. We hope to improve it with time...

Hello!
Thanks for your post.
Are you sure you are using the latest build?
In the last build (1.04) we've added a little form only for this - you can query the methods by their status and have them all in one place-. Please right click on the class model's node in the Control Panel and select the option "Capture..."
Besides, in this version, the custom methods itself are displayed a more convinient way, indicating its status.
In the next build, we will add a lot more automatically generated methods, we call "Domain Management" methods. All this CRUD stuff...
